The Minden, Nevada soaring community has come together to bring the 2012 U.S. Open Class Nationals back to our area. Sponsored by Mr. Rick Walters and supported by the Minden-Tahoe Airport and SoaringNV, our community has combined its resources to bring national caliber Open Class competition soaring back to one of the premiere soaring sites in the world. This website is the official site supporting this competition. We hope you will find it helpful whether you plan to compete, are a crew member, or are someone who loves the sport of soaring and are interested in the Minden area. Enjoy!

It should also be noted that the Minden Soaring Club (MSC) with support from the Minden-Tahoe Airport began a new annual event, “The Minden Dash,” in 2011. Its goal is to foster competitive cross-country soaring, and be a fun way to gain cross-country soaring experience.
